Vintage Button Rings & such...

I've always been a jewelry lover and been making it since I was a little girl. I can remember going to the bead store and racking up on the cutest beads. I remember selling some of my jewelry & beaded key chains to friends and family and thought it was the neatest thing to make money. I was rich I tell ya...that $20 here and there was going to get me far, tee hee.

Of course, looking back...I'm sure they just thought 'poor girl' trying to make a living, hahaha. Okay, not really...but I found a box while doing some spring cleaning the other day (yes, I'm still at it...but I'm a determined woman). So, this box brought back so many fond memories of these times because, in it, were some of my beaded pieces that I must've stashed away for a rainy day and this weekend we had several rainy days. So it all worked out perfectly you see?

It gave me some inspiration...which you know I talk about a lot on this here blog. Because I get so much of it from my artsy craftsy bloggy pals and wonderful magazines like the new issue of Artful Blogging (more on that in another post).

But this inspiration...well, it came from my past and it just made me smile :-)
I've just been getting back into making a few pieces and have been having so much fun with it.

I found these vintage buttons and just couldn't resist making rings out of them...ooo la la! I just love the shimmery roses, don't you?

And I love stars, since I'm from the 'Star City,' so this was a hometown inspired necklace, since ya know...I've gotten inspiration from my past and all. And of course I love the dangles...kind of reminds me of a chandelier...

Who doesn't love owls right now? And bronze with orange crystal eyes...yum...

And as mentioned here...I did add a few of my 'Bling ring' sets to the shop. I have more to add throughout the week too.

I do hope that your weekend was wonderful & I hope to be able to visit more frequently this week because I think I'm having bloggy friend withdrawal (if that's possible). Of course it's possible, you all know what I'm talking about right? :-)

Isn't it funny how those who don't blog, don't get the sense of community we have? I didn't get it before I started this blog! I'd be chatting with my girl WorkoutMommy and look at her like she had lost her marbles...talking about this blog thing and what it entailed (thank you, thank you, thank you...I don't know what I'd do without you ;-) Who knew?

And now that I have made so many 'friends,' I don't know what I would do without you all, tee hee. Okay, I won't ramble on right now, this is a whole other post in itself...but I know you bloggers know what I'm saying. I appreciate all of you and your inspiring comments and posts. There are so many I know would just be a hoot to hang with...one day my friends...one day...maybe?
