A little Help here Please!

Okay, it's time for this ol' Blog to take a turn for the BETTER!  You've probably noticed a few changes taking place already...and hopefully there will be a few more soon.

I'm thinking a little more FUN FOR YOU!!  And who doesn't love a good time!?!

I've been wanting to make some fun digi-scrap goodies to post here for you all to use as you please...freebies, freebies, who loves freebies!?!  I'm thinking something like a once a week freebie or something of the like.

But here's the problem...I still have to find a program, and well, I guess I need to learn how to use it too, hehe.

I'm wanting to learn blog/web design also, I know I've mentioned this before too, but I'm just stuck...WHERE TO BEGIN?  Oh, for starters...I'd really like to turn my 2 columns into 3 & put a menu bar at the top to make it a little easier to navigate! Anyone know how to do either of those?

I know I'm asking a lot here, but I promise it will pay off once I get to crankin' out the freebies, for all you scrappers and crafters...and even those of you who just might need a free printable card or gift tag.

Ya know what?  Anyone who leaves me helpful information on this post, will stand a chance to win this set of six, cute Ladybug 'Happy Birthday' Gift tags, just added to the shop!

Okay, okay...I'll even enter you if you just leave me a note wishing me luck on this adventure ;-)

So...can you help me, so I can HELP YOU :-)  I really do appreciate it!

Jaime

I would really help you but I am barely hanging on by a thread myself. I called my DIL 3 times today to learn how to copy and paste. I drive her crazy. Good luck and I hope you find a comment from someone who know what they are doing. Good luck!

I don't know if you are will to pay for someone else to set up all the things on your "wish list", but leelou blogs is a great website that set me up for a very reasonable price. I think they even offer consulting...check 'em out!

I was able to get a three column blog and navigation buttons put on my blog by a sweet fellow etsyian StormyDesigns. She is a team mate of mine from etsybloggers street team. She loves helping other bloggers and I thanked her by buying some fantastic clay jewelry from her shop. Convo her and tell her I refered you. She has a great shop and blog

Oh, I wish I could help! But I paid a designer to redo my blog... it was so worth it, too. I'm afraid I'd change one little thing and end up totally breaking my blog! :)
I know how to code blog buttons, and that's about it.

One thing I learned from the little I have learned is ALWAYS make a copy first before you play with the html code. I'm still very nervous when I make changes. I usually get help.

Here is a list of the top 20 blogger templates for 2008:

http://www.bloggerbuster.com/2009/01/top-20-free-blogger-templates-of-2008.html

Choose one of those themes to change the layout of your site, or go back to the designer's site for more choices. Each them, or designer's website, should include instructions on how to install the theme.

And here is a list of Blogger tutorials that will help you:

http://www.bloggerbuster.com/2008/04/complete-list-of-blogger-tutorials.html

And if you want to hire someone to customize your blog, I recommend you find a blog that you like the design of, and then look in the footer area for a link to the designer that created the theme.

Hope this helps!

Michelle

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight!!!

I've only learned simple little things ~ like how to make ♥s (hearts). Do not know how to design templates! So far, I've stuck w/ones offered by Blogger ~ though that's not very exciting! I admit!

hey - it looks like you got the three column thing down - simply fabulous!!

let me know when you figure out the tab functionality. that could do wonders for me!

Dear Jamie, I just discoverd your beautiful blog because I followed your comment on that Twitter article. How nice and colourful everything is. But I also understand that you want to redo it, since you run it for a while. In the end you need a good friend, that could come by and teach you. Beeing a mom myself I know that the biggest problem is having not enough time. I wish you all the best and that special friend, ;-)
