Playing in the rain is good for the soul

Once upon a time, it rained for almost a week straight...right when it just started to warm up & get the kiddies giddy for days outside. 'Mommmmyyy, mommmmyyy, can I paint, can I play with play-doh, play the wii with me, mommmmyyy I want to bake cookies, read me a story, dance with me, I want to watch Safe Side Super Chick (for the millionth time), can I carry the baby around the house,' ahhhhhh!

So...the girls suited up...and I kicked em' OUT :-)

And they had the best time frolicking around in the pouring rain, so free. They got out the chalk and tried to re-create this rainbow...

...I'd say they did a pretty good job, wouldn't you?


Then we tried to pretend we were at the beaches down in the Florida Keys with Mimi! See that asphalt isn't asphalt at all...it's white, soft, warm sand between our toes. That's why we had to flip off our flops :)


...And little mermaid even made an apprearance to show us a treasure...

...and she said to enjoy it while we can because they'll only stick around all nice and pretty for 2 weeks :( So we are 'smelling the roses,' as they say, being free spirits and enjoying life. It only happens once right? Or does it...
