Weekend rewind...
Friday:
Cops swarming my neighborhood, searching unlocked homes in search of a missing girl. Yep, you guessed it...they literally found her walking down the sidewalk almost in front of my home. Then, the news crew wouldn't leave me alone after I repeatedly said I don't want to be on camera, so they follow me and my girls to the bus stop to pick up my oldest...ugh. Relentless I tell ya. I'm sorry that you had to 'meet a deadline' lady, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't want my children & I to be on the news!
My poor 4 yr. old was so scared of all the commotion...especially after seeing a house behind us burn down just under 6 months ago. She's reminded of that scary day every time she hears sirens and flashing lights.
But thankfully after all that was said and done, the rest of the weekend was kind of relaxing and nice.
Saturday:
The girls had soccer games and the weather was lovely. My oldest scored her first goal which was GREAT! I forgot to put on sunscreen and was wearing a tank top outside all day...so now I have tender, red shoulders :-( But at least I remembered to lotion up the girls.
And I got to ride bikes a little with them and play outside a lot.
We took a little nature hike on this small local trail and got some cute shots of the girls.
They even found two golden glittered eggs that the Easter bunny left just for them, tee hee...
And look at that sweet baby peeking over her big sisters shoulder...
She thinks they are the greatest! I swear...watching those girls giggle together just melts my heart. It's so funny...at night we have cuddle time in the 'big bed,' and they'll get going and then the baby starts cracking up and I never want it to end...it's the best feeling in the world, seeing those girls so happy.
And some shrooms...
...pretty flower buds...
...and crazy tall trees...
...were all found on our nature walk...just beautiful!
Then a nice dinner with the Oma which is always a treat.
Sunday:
We actually got the garage tidied up a bit (although there are now like 10 boxes of children's clothing in the basement to go through). Not much done in the studio. I always have high hopes for how much I can get done in a weekend...and then reality hits Sunday night, when I think about what actually got accomplished. But it's coming along...slowly but surely.
We also had a family wii bowling & tennis tournament...always a blast.
Somehow I don't feel like I got a lot done, but at the end of the day...spending time with the family is my top proiority and it's always a good weekend when you get that much fun time together. So how was your weekend?

I'm so glad that everything turned out alright. Scary. We had Wii tennis tournaments this weekend, too! The only problem is that when I play, people have to get out of the way because I swing like I'm really playing tennis! Ack! Lori

Sounds like a great weekend (well after the first part was over). I didn't get much done this weekend either. We went to a Chilli cookoff and a parade on Sat, and we don't ever get much done on Sun.
it is BEAUTIFUL where you live! and good for you for making family time TOP priority! i always feel the same way...like nothing ever gets done...but really we couldn't spend our time any wiser, now could we? ;) i remind myself of this when i look around and want to SCREAM because the house is so thrashed! hehee. :)
we had a yard sale on saturday...and did pretty good! i basically gave alot of it away....i did not feel like packing it all up and doing it again! (but i probably will!)

Great pictures! I wish we had trees like that where I live..but alas, only fields of corn :-(
Good times and great photos. Thanks for sharing Jamie!
p.s. "good times" other than getting stalked by a TV crew. That would NOT fall under the "good times" category. Unless you were getting paid for it.
