...the pictures just don't do them justice :-( I need to learn some better picture taking skills...any tips from my fellow etsy peeps?
And this is what's been keeping me busy this week...
Don't ya just LOVE the scrabble tile pendants!?! They were so fun to make...a little time consuming but well worth it. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve too, to spice them up a bit. I'll keep ya posted on that. And if you see one here that you like or would like a custom order, please do let me know...I'd love to make ya some!
Anyway, these aren't posted yet because I took a bunch of pictures and am not pleased with the way they turned out. I'd REALLY like to get them posted in my shop soon since there are some cute ones for V-day...so I better get those picture taking skills workin' fast, hehe.
Anyway, gotta go fix dinner before DQ's basketball practice. I've got soooo much to blog about and not enough time! Who agrees ;-)

As far as photographing you work is concerned, you should either make a light box or take the pics outside on a nice day. A light box is really easy to make- you just need some white foam board, tape, and a lamp.

let's see.....picture taking tips....I always take them mid-morning and with no flash - just natural light.

I keep reading that natural light is the best BUT when I tried it - it was so bright my pics were washed out. Then when I moved under cover on a patio -SHADOWS. Through a sunny window - SHADOWS. So per some advice from a YouTube videographer, I bought two $15 utility lamps at home depot. They make a ton of indoor light and I get good shots. I do make adjustments in an editing program. There are several you can download on line for free Picasa(my fav) and picnik are just two I know of.

Photo tip...picassa! It's free from google and you can brighten photos. I also suggest the double macro mode on your camera (flower) and no flash. If you want to do collages and buttons use photoscape another free program through google.

Those scrabble tile pendants are really really really sweet. I just got one from my friend for my birthday, and it is so cute! I have jewlery that I have made too, that I want to post, but I can't get a good picture of it! I'm not sure what the trick is, but it's hard!!!
