A Crafty Day & a Play-doh recipe

We've had a crafty day today which is always nice!

We painted beautiful pictures with the Bubbas favorite Christmas gift...

And she has been wanting to make homemade PLAY-DOH for a week now...so I finally remembered to get the final ingredient needed to make it and she was so THRILLED!  I had NO IDEA that it was so EASY and FAST!

First, you stir together 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup salt, 1 cup water, 1 Tbsp oil, 2 tsp cream of tarter (found in the seasoning isle), and food coloring to you liking.  Cook it over medium heat until it starts to harden.  Then take it out and sit on wax paper to cool...and voila'...all said & done!  Just know that it will harden fast as it's cooking.  I hadn't a clue to how fast this process went and was pleasantly surprised :-)  And we had the best time making 'cookies' with it, hehe.

In other news...I finally posted a few Scrabble Tile Pendants to the shop so go check em' out.  I'm still not very pleased with the pictures but will try again tomorrow.

Okay, I'm off to work on another surprise for the shop!  I know, you are just too excited to control yourself :-)  Well, hang tight...I'll keep ya updated!

Oh...& Don't forget to ENTER MY GIVEAWAY here!

We love homemade playdough too! Over the summer I made some and the kids played for HOURS -- and they played together -- with the playdough! It was wonderful!

Yay for Craft days!

And love the scrabble pendants. I've been wanting to do them too...do you mind me asking what kind of glue/top coat you are using? :o)

Once the new craft room is done, I'm going to go to some thrift stores for scrabble pcs and attempt them.

Thanks for your nice comment. I use Illustrator & Photoshop to create digital scrapbook images, but I know there are easier & cheaper programs out there. You can read the forums at http://www.twopeasinabucket.com for tips & etc. Hopefully that helps. As for CSS, I've never used it. Sorry I'm not much help. I just use blogger for my blog & Yahoo Site builder for my websites.
