Merry SITSmas!

Here's to wishing all my SITSta's a very Merry Holiday Season...how can you not smile at that face?

I took these 2 photos at the local Mall on Black Friday where my girls got to visit Santa...with only a 10 minute wait...woo hoo!

The "Joy for all" was Nordstrom's front window & it just inspired me and got me all in the Christmas Spirit (even more than I already am)!

And since this is a DECORATING PARTY...I thought I'd share some pics & "how-to's" for the ornaments I've been making!

Prepare to get GLITTERY & GLAM if you are going to attempt any of these! But glitter makes the world a better place, so it's well worth it :-)

Start with some glass oranaments (color of your choice), glitter (I love Martha's - & yes, we're on first name basis now ;-) & some two-sided stickers (again, I used Martha's flower roll). Just place the stickers where you want them on the ornament, peel the outer layers, & shake, shake, shake that glitter until it looks like tinkerbell had a visit :-) Then shake, shake, shake some more to get off the excess. Then pick out some pretty ribbon to tie around the top and make hangers!

And voila'...this is what you end up with...

...sorry I didn't do a picture for picture tutorial but I'm tellin' ya the glitter was everywhere...

...I even had on my new apron from Heather's Custom Sewing and I still got glitter all over me. My poor Punky had it all over her just from being in the same room as me. Anyway, I just got the custom matching apron set for me and the Bubbas (for Christmas, shhh)...but I couldn't resist wearing mine already because it rocks, Heather did such a great job...so check her out if your in need of a cute apron. She even went to the store and got the fabric I requested because she didn't have it in stock. Aren't they cute!?!
Back to the decor. These paper ornaments are even easier than the first ones (especially if you use paper that is already glittered). I used Amy Butler's glittered cardstock because I o' so love her designs!
You cut 1/2 inch strips of 6" by 8" glittered cardstock, piece them together in a stack and punch two holes in each end. I used my Crop-a-dile so it all was punched at one time and it was much easier than trying to punch a few at a time and line it up. Then just add two jeweled brads to the holes and fan them out into a sphere. You'll have to just play with it a bit to get it shaped the way you want it. Add pretty ribbon for the hanger...easy peasy and so cute (although my pictures didn't turn out well). These are hangin' on our rinky dink little tree in the basement. I'll share better pictures of these when I get some & of our big white tree when we get it decorated!
I saw another variation of these at a fellow SITSta you all may know, Her Cup Overfloweth, where she used a 5x7 photo (what a great idea)...that never dawned on me! So go check her out for other fun ideas too!

Now here are the easiest ones...I got these at my local craft store for less than $2/ornament. They had glitter but I just jazzed it up with a bit more and simply added ribbons around the necks...how easy. I saw the SAME exact ornaments at one of my fav decorating stores over the weekend for almost $10...wow!
His...

...and Hers...
They wanted to get some fresh air :-)
Speaking of that favorite store...I just had to snap a pic of this upside down Christmas tree (even though you can't tell it's upside down from my close up shot)...the decor is pretty!

And I'm lovin' the green & blue theme that's seems to be popular this year...
...Ooo La La...

I wouldn't dare fail to mention that one prize will be given away EVERY HOUR from 6am to 10pm over at SITS with the GRAND PRIZE being YOUR Blog Featured as their Friday Fav & a $200 TARGET GIFT CARD! What more could a girl want? Sure do love those SITS girls :-)
