Pink decor & vintage inspired tags & frills

Just wanted to show off my new dining & living room...

{Photos courtesy Country Living}

...hahaha, okay totally just kidding...but a girl can dream right?

I was searching around Country Living for some decor inspiration since I'm getting ready to hunker down and move my studio into an actual room...yay, and found these lovely pink decor pic's of a Long Island, NY home. Mmm, excuse me while I drool over that chaise. One day...one day...I keep telling myself, tee hee!

Speaking of studio's, have you checked out the new special issue of 'cloth paper scissors ~ Studios?' It has soooo much inspiration in it...I'd really rather sit and stare at the beautiful pages, rather than actually get moving on the spring cleaning and studio move myself. It even features Betz White and her little bedroom studio in Maryland. You know I love me some local artists and her cupcake pincushions are to die for. I've got her book, all my supplies, and I'm ready to roll...umm, just waiting on the mess to disappear so I can get started!

And, finally in the shop...

...some Vintage inspired gift tags with lots of crafting goodness! I've picked out the best of the best...Red Velvet, Tiffany Blue satin with the Fleur de Lis, lots of pearls, lace and plenty of bling! And hand-dying these tags was fun. I ended up dying them twice with vanilla bean coffee since that's all I had and they smell really yummy.

To coffee (or tea) dye paper or gift tags, you just brew your cup of coffee...

...while it is brewing, crinkle up your paper a bit...

...then take a sponge brush and brush on the liquid from the middle to the outside...

...then do the other side (I used a plate to catch extra liquid)...

...then lay to dry on a paper towel. I dyed these twice to get a little darker effect...

...you can dye them as many times as needed to get the effect you'd like, just make sure they dry before re-dying.

Voila' so easy and so cute!

Okay, I really gotta get started on the studio...good day!

Jaime

Well your inspiration decor has me drooling as well! All it takes is a TON of money and a pro and you too can have a room that fabulous! Crap that leaves me out! Love the new tags...those are to pretty to give away however lol. I'd buy them and then never let anyone have them. Sort of defeats the purpose of "gift" tags.

Hope you're having a better week, Sweets.
